What Happens if I Take No Action?
Your Current Medicare Plan May Change
Your current Medicare Advantage plan will generally renew if it continues to be offered. However, the carrier may:
- Change the plan’s coverage or costs
- Move members to a different plan
- Change prescription formularies or provider networks
- Discontinue the plan
Please review the Annual Notice of Change sent by your current plan to understand how your coverage may be affected in 2027.
Prescription Drug Plan Update
Important 2027 Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Update
Due to changes within the insurance industry, carriers have removed agents’ ability to enroll clients in or service most standalone Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, also known as Part D or PDP plans.
As a result, Johnson Insurance is no longer able to review, enroll in, or make changes to most standalone Part D plans on a client’s behalf.
We understand that this is different from the assistance we have provided in previous years. Although we cannot complete this process for you, trusted resources are available to help you review and enroll in a plan.
Resources for Part D Assistance
You can compare available plans and enroll online:
- Visit medicare.gov
- Select “Get Started”
- Click “Health & Drug Plans,” then “Find Health & Drug Plans”
- Enter your ZIP code
- Select “Medicare Drug Plan (Part D)”
- Choose the plan you wish to enroll in
Tip: You can enter your prescriptions to see how each plan would cover them. This can help you pick a plan that works well for you — though it is not required to enroll.
