Losing Medicaid or CHIP? We can help!

By July 18, 2023Insurance

Now that the COVID-19 pandemic relief related to Medicaid and CHIP enrollment has expired, many will be losing their coverage.  Here are 3 options to consider:

  1. Re-apply for Medicaid or CHIP: If you were previously enrolled in Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and have lost coverage, it is essential to check if you still qualify for those programs.  Visit Medicaid.gov or your state’s Medicaid website to find information about eligibility requirements and the application process.
  2. Sign up for Medicare during this Special Enrollment Period (SEP): If you are aged 65 or older or have certain qualifying disabilities, you may be eligible for Medicare.  Visit Medicare.gov or contact the Social Security Administration for more information.
  3. Explore low-cost health insurance options through the Health Insurance Marketplace: If you don’t qualify for Medicaid, CHIP, or Medicare, you can look into obtaining health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.  Healthcare.gov is the federal marketplace where you can find information about available plans and how to apply.  Or just call us and we will walk with you through the process.  Call 336-751-6281 and speak with Tina or Melinda today!

Remember, it’s essential to consider your specific circumstances and healthcare needs before making a decision.  If you are uncertain about your options, we can help you with personalized guidance.
